Newcastle under Lyme school's U15 & U14 netball teams will be excitingly touring Australia in 2016 and have joined with the Douglas Macmillan Hospice charity to fund raise. This is a new venture for the school and one which should benefit a very good local charity.
On Sunday 12th April some of the girls did the family fun run in Hanley Park passing netballs as they ran the 5K course. Whilst the exact figure of monies raised isn’t known yet, it is estimated that they may well have raised in excess of £800, which will be divided equally between the Douglas Macmillan Hospice and the tour fund.
