On a typically British day, Staffordshire finest High Five players braved the cold, wind, blue sky, clouds and a small amount of rain to compete in Stafford Netball Club’s High Five Festival.
The morning started off with 6 teams in the Year 5 and below category from Newcastle Town, Tean Valley and Stafford Netball Club. These were the lucky ones who got to play indoors.
A player of each team was chosen by the coaches/umpires and these were given a Netball West Midlands foam hand to celebrate their achievement!
YEAR 5 RESULTS:
Winners: Newcastle Panthers
Runners Up: Stafford

The 2nd category Year 6 and below saw 6 teams from the same 3 clubs competing to be crowned festival winners.
Yet again, the matches showed some excellent play especially adhering to the footwork rule. There was some high scoring games too showing that a number of the players have a keen eye on the goal!

Thank you to the parents of Stafford Netball Club players who donated some cakes which were sold on the day with hot drinks to keep the spectators warm!
And thank you to all of the volunteers, supporters, players who came along to make the day a really great start to the Staffordshire High Five netball season.
