Wins by North Staffs and Fenton Manor A put them at the top of the Under 16 Premier division, although Stafford Diamonds do have a match in hand. Caitlin Green playing in defence for North Staffs made life very difficult for Newcastle Thunder’s shooters as North Staffs won by 27 goals to 11. Lucy Wytcherley, Thunder’s Goal Shooter, was, however, their star player. Despite Hannah Newman’s determined work in defence for Tean Valley Shooters, Fenton Manor pulled away in the final quarter to win 27-22. Player of the match for Fenton was Abby Rothschild.

Lydia Fitzmaurice-James is having a super season, winning player of the match for the third time for Lightning. Other star players were Ella Williamson for Storm and Emily Whitlock for Emeralds.

In the Under 14 Premier Division, there were fairly easy wins for Fenton Manor A over Newcastle Town Panthers (34-13) and for Newcastle Town Tigers over Harriers (39-3). The match between Tean Valley Stars and Stafford Diamonds was much more closely fought. Stafford held on to their two goal lead form three quarter time to win 19-17. Star players were Rebecca Massey (Fenton), Georgina Hill (Panthers), Jasmine Veitch (Tigers), Lindi Sibandi (Harriers), Hattie Ball (Stars) and Katie Edwards (Diamonds).
Stafford Sapphires took the honours in the match against club mates, Emeralds, 18-13 in the Under 14B division. Ellie Hooker was in great form as Goal Attack for Sapphires. Jodie Guest was Emeralds star player. GD and GA Izzy Kerr (Fenton Manor B) and Frankie Robertson (Tean Valley Thunder) fought well against each other in their match but it was Izzy’s team, Fenton, which went on to win the match 17-5. Newcastle Town Pumas took the points in their 16-0 victory over Fenton Manor C. Jess Southern (Pumas) and Mutsa Munyani (Fenton) were players of the match.
