There was only one match in the Under 16 Premier Division over the weekend and Stafford Diamonds claimed the points against Newcastle Town Thunder.
In the Under 16B Division, Newcastle Town Lightning have claimed the title –with two weeks still to play! They won their match against Fenton Manor B by 20 goals to 7,Jess Dankwa putting in a sparkling performance in defence. Elisha Proudmore starred for Fenton. In their other match the same Fenton Manor team beat Stafford Sapphires by 29 goals to 15 so they did have something to celebrate! Players of the Match were Holly Lawrence (Fenton) and Alex Stewart (Stafford). In the other match in this division, Tean Valley Blades beat Newcastle Town Storm 12 goals to 6. Ellie Lomas was in good shooting form for Blades while Danielle Brereton worked hard in the centre court for Storm.

There were 3 matches in the Under 14 Premier Division- Newcastle Town Panthers beat Harriers in a very close game, 12-9. Katie Quayle shot well for Panthers while Harriers Heather Martin worked tirelessly in centre court. Newcastle Town Tigers had a resounding 33-9 victory over Stafford Diamonds. Defenders Elaine Prinsloo (Newcastle) and Katie Edwards (Stafford) were the star players. Goal Attack, Hattie Ball, was in great for Tean Valley Stars but after holding Fenton Manor to two goals for most of the game; couldn’t maintain that pressure. Fenton Manor ran away with the last quarter and eventually won 33-20.

They beat Newcastle Town Lions (Player of the Match: Alice Bailey) 16-10 and their own club team, Lightning (Player of the Match: Jessica Faux) 12-7. Tean Valley Lightning (Player of the Match: Nicole Harris) had more luck in their other match when they claimed the points from Fenton Manor C. Stafford Sapphires also had two wins, the first was a very close affair against Fenton Manor B. They ran out 20-19 winners with Ellie Hooker having a super game at Goal Attack despite being pressed very hard by Izzy Kerr at Goal Defence for Fenton. Sapphires also claimed the points against Newsatle Town Lions. In another tight game, Stafford Emeralds beat Newcastle Town Pumas by 2 goals to win 12-10. Shooters from both teams were their Players of the match-Jess Smith for Emeralds and Estela Sanchez for Pumas.
Newcastle Town were out in force in the U12 division. Newcastle Town Eagles beat Swans by just one goal, 20-19. Shooters Poppy Shaw (Eagles) and Lucy Freckleton (Swans) had particularly good matches. Newcastle Town Bears showed why they are top of the league when they beat a battling Tean valley Angels side by 28-0. Again, the shooters won the Players of the Match awards- Grace Owen for Bears and Sally Emery for Angels.
